Kuźmienko

This is the first such extensive publication about Jerzy Kuźmienko — the author of several pearls of modernism, such as residential buildings on Kozia Street No. 9 and Karowa Street No. 18 in Warsaw.

The modernist character of the architect’s work is reflected in the book layout — asymmetrical, with a column on the left. The typography of the cover is derived directly from the idea of ​​the cut form of Kozia Street No. 9′ front facade. Furthermore, the proportions of letters and the inscription are taken from Karowa Street No. 18 — modular rectangular balcony. The rectangle motif is multiplied throughout the entire publication: as a chapter number, a bullet in the tables, an illustration signature; it also serves as an amplitude raster unit in parametric illustrations separating book sections.
